Antarctica’s A-23A iceberg has disintegrated after nearly 40 years at sea, having calved from the Filchner Ice Shelf in 1986. The immense iceberg journeyed over 2,300km before collapsing in the South Atlantic in April 2026. Scientists continue to study its lifecycle and movement patterns.
