TEXAS OFFICER CHARGED WITH MURDER RESIGNS AFTER SHOOTING

Arab News says police officer Aaron Dean, 34 shot and killed a black woman through a back window of her home while responding to a call about an open door. He was charged with murder on Monday after resigning from the forceTexas officer charged with murder resigns after shooting. A police chief said earlier that day, he acted without justification. And would have been fired if he had not quit. Police bodycam video showed Dean approaching the door of the home. He then walked around the side of the house, pushed through a gate into the fenced-off backyard and fired through the glass a split-second after shouting at the woman, 28, to show her hands.

Seemingly to punish the historic ally for its deadly offensive into Syria. Trump announcedTrump authorises sanctions, slaps steel tariffs on Turkey the measures as he came under intense pressure at home for appearing to at first give the green light to the Turkish President, who is seeking to crush US-backed Kurdish fighters in Syria. “ I am fully prepared to swiftly destroy Turkey’s economy if Turkish leaders continue down this dangerous and destructive path,” Trump said in a statement.

ACTIVISTS DEFIANT AS UGANDA PROPOSES THE DEATH PENALTY FOR GAY SEX

CNN says the Ugandan government’s plan to reintroduce a bill that could impose the death penalty for homosexuality isActivists defiant as Uganda proposes death penalty for gay sex being met with defiance from the LGBTQ community in the East African nation. Ugandan Ethics Minister Simon Lokodo said laws criminalising gay sex were not tough enough.  Speaking to local media, Lokodo explained why the bill is being introduced now: “The penal code only criminalises the act [gay sex]… Now we’re saying anything, like recruitment, promotion, exhibition…amounts to committing a crime against that law.”
