I Am Greta: The coming of age movie wrapped up in a super-hero flick
BBC News says there are many extraordinary things about the new documentary I Am Greta.
The first is that the film happened at all. Its director Nathan Grossman had never made a documentary feature before.
The former film student was curious when he heard, in 2018, that 15-year-old Swedish girl Greta Thunberg had decided to bunk off school to sit alone outside the country’s parliament in Stockholm as part of what she was calling a “climate strike”.

Disney issues new content warning for racism in classic films
WTX News says last year Disney films placed a content advisory notice for racism in their classic films, which has recently been updated with a strengthened message.
When played on the Disney+ streaming service, films such as Dumbo, Peter Pan and Jungle Book now flash up with a warning about stereotypes.
“This programme includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures,” the warning says.
“These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now.”

Exclusive VIDEO footage of The Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson
WTX News says Liverpool city faces the strictest lockdown in England, but it hasn’t stopped filming going ahead in the city of the new The Batman starring Robbert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz and the unrecognisable Colin Farrel as the penguin.
Filming on Matt Reeves’ upcoming standalone DC film, The Batman. The actor has been put through a turbulent schedule aboard the project to date, including various production stops and starts throughout 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In early September, it was reported that Pattinson himself had tested positive for the virus and had to self-isolate, as the crew tried to film other scenes in his absence.

Stranger Things Season 4 Set Photo Hints At Return To Season 3 Finale
Screen-Rant says a new photo from the set of Stranger Things season 4 shows Lucas wearing the same outfit he wore in the season 3 finale, teasing a flashback scene.
The Netflix phenomenon is currently filming season 4, after being interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. With season 3 providing several supposedly definitive endings for various characters, including Hopper dying, and Eleven moving out of Hawkins with the Byers family.
Those events followed the climactic “Battle of Starcourt,” which pitted the gang against both Russians and the Mind Flayer.

Justin Bieber Reflects on Growing Up in the Spotlight in ‘Lonely’ Video Starring Jacob Tremblay
Rolling Stone says Justin Bieber has dropped the video for his new collaborative single with producer Benny Blanco.
The Jake Schreier-directed clip stars Room actor Jacob Tremblay, who portrays a young Bieber. He’s seen alone looking forlorn in a backstage room. He’s then summoned to head to the stage, but the venue appears to be empty. Over a reflective piano ballad, Bieber sings about perceptions and criticisms he faced as he was carving out a name for himself, and the feelings of isolation experienced when there wasn’t anyone to confide in who could relate.

BAFTA TV awards increase the number of performance nominees and add a daytime category
Sky News says BAFTA has announced new rules and guidelines for its TV awards to address a lack of diversity and better represent the industry.
The number of nominees in performance categories will be increased from four to six and a new daytime category will be introduced.
The BAFTA television committee said the new award will recognise the important role that daytime programming plays in the lives of viewers and in providing a pipeline for new and underrepresented talent.

BTS in hot water with China after Korean war comments
WTX News says K-pop group BTS are facing backlash in China over comments made about the Korean War.
The band’s leader RM caused controversy after he said South Korea and the US share a “history of pain” over the 1950-53 conflict, in which the two countries fought together.
RM’s comments caused anger as China backed North Korea during the war – and it appears to have impacted the brand’s advertising deals.
