MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER AFTER POLICE OFFICER RUN OVER
The Independent reports, a 29-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of a traffic officer in Birmingham. Mubashar Hussian, 29, allegedly hijacked a police car and reversed the stolen car into the officer. Hussain allegedly drove over the body. He was arrested just over 2km away.
Since the arrest, Hussain has been charged with multiple offences spanning two days. On Saturday he allegedly stole a range rover and another range rover was stolen the previous day.

FEARS GROW FOR MISSING NORA AFTER POLICE REVEAL SHE LEFT BAREFOOT AND WEARING A NIGHTDRESS
The Daily Mail reports, missing Nora, 15 was barefoot and wearing a nightdress at the time of her disappearance in the Malaysian jungle. The teen was born with a disorder that makes everyday tasks a struggle. Her speech, movement and coordination are limited. Fears grow for how long she can survive in the warm and humid environment with dangerous animals. The teen has now been missing for over a week.
Scotland Yard, the National Crime Agency and Interpol are now apart of the search to find Nora.
As the search for Nora continues police confirmed they will investigate claims a truck was heard at 3 am on the night Nora disappeared.

BORIS TO CREATE 10,000 NEW PRISON PLACES AND EXTEND STOP-AND-SEARCH POWERS
BBC News says the PM has unveiled further plans to tackle the “soft justice” policies of May’s government. The PM announced an extra 10,000 prison places and more powers regarding stop-and-search. The 2.5bn plans will see new builds and expansions on existing prisons. HMP Full Sutton will be the first to be expanded.
Johnson has also revealed new laws are set to be introduced to tackle knife and acid sales. The government said the plans showed it was “serious about fighting crime.” However, Labour’s Diane Abbott said “random” stop-and-search was a “recipe for unrest.”
Many speculate the government’s focus on crime indicates No 10 is preparing for an autumn general election.

THE QUEEN SHOWS SUPPORT FOR PRINCE ANDREW AMID ‘GROPING’ CLAIMS
The Sun reports HM The Queen has shown her support for Prince Andrew after the two shared a car ride to Church. On Saturday, Andrew’s “paedophile pal” Jeffery Epstein was found dead in prison after allegedly committing suicide. The paper says the Prince is accused in court documents of sexual activities with a 17-year-old. The documents say Epstein arranged for his Royal friend to be entertained by his “sex slave” in London.
The Sun has said the Prince found out about his friend’s death whilst at Balmoral with his ex-wife and two daughters. More witnesses are now tipped to come forward.
Buckingham Palace has denied the allegations made against Prince Andrew.
