Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) has been keeping a big secret from girlfriend Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) in Coronation Street, which is set to be exposed in upcoming scenes.
Asha has been kept busy with her new paramedic training course, which has meant missing out on family get togethers, including a dramatic one which saw Courtney Vance (Stephanie Davis) break up with Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) by sending husband Darren (Ryan Early) round to collect her things.
Courtney and Aadi began having an affair while he was working for Darren, and soon realised that they couldn’t be without each other.
When Darren found out what had been going on right under his nose he hit the roof and ordered Courtney out.

Following the dramatic showdown, Courtney and Aadi got a flat of their own, but knowing that a life of luxury was hers for the taking with Darren, she realised that she couldn’t stick it out much longer, and wanted Aadi to have the chance to make his own way in life without her.
Aadi was left heartbroken by her sudden change of heart, and swore Nina to secrecy over the whole affair, ashamed to face his family and their ‘I told you so’ attitudes.

In upcoming scenes, Asha and Nina will head to the Chariot Square hotel for drinks, which is definitely their first mistake. Nothing good ever happens at the Chariot Square hotel!
As the pair are enjoying their evening together, Asha suddenly spots Courtney and Darren together and, unaware of what has taken place, assumes that Courtney is cheating on Aadi.

Asha is quick to leap to her feet and confront her, leaving Nina with no time to explain before Asha is giving Courtney what for.
Eventually, Nina manages to explain that Courtney and Aadi split up several weeks ago, much to Asha’s horror.
It soon becomes clear just how angry Asha is with her girlfriend for keeping secrets…

With Courtney now out of the Alahan’s lives, it is good news for Asha, but less good news for actress Tanisha Gorey, who has enjoyed working with Stephanie Davis on the storyline.
‘She is amazing to work with, and the stories she tells! [laughs] She’s absolutely amazing. I personally would love to work with her again.
‘Obviously we don’t know what’s going to happen, we don’t know what’s going on with Courtney but I would love to work with Steph again, she was absolutely amazing.’
