Albany is the capital city of the U.S. state of New York. The state is also home to the world-famous New York City (the most populous city in the United States) and a major entertainment and financial hub, a common destination for tourism. 

Until the 1960s New York was the country’s leading state in nearly all population, cultural, and economic indexes. California soon took over New York but that was due to the endurance growth rate that has persisted on the West Coast rather than a decline in New York. 

The second day of former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial took an unexpected turn as one of the jurors selected and sworn in earlier this week was excused on Thursday morning. The juror, a woman who works as a nurse and resides on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, expressed concerns about her ability to be fair and impartial in the case.

Former US President Donald Trump will head to a NY courthouse on Monday and become the first former American president to stand trial in a criminal case. He is accused of falsifying his business records to disguise a hush-money payment made to a former adult film star – Stormy Daniels, just before the 2016 election.

The trial, brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, centers around allegations of falsifying business records related to a payment made to ex-porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.
