Broadway, NYC is a juggernaut in its own right, attracting millions of people to New York City for that sole purpose. Best value hotels New York? – Pod 39 Hotel

Location: Pod 39 Hotel, located at 145 East 39th Street

Pod 39 is a hit with young travellers, it’s a bit of a cool-kid spot and even better is one of the best value hotels New York City has to offer. If you’re not too worried about luxury and large rooms (and want to save some cash), then Pod 39 is a perfect choice.

It’s conveniently located near many Broadway and off-Broadway theaters. It’s close enough to Times Square that the theatres are within walking distance but far enough away that you won’t have to hear the noise from Times Square.

Expect bright, compact rooms with free Wi-Fi and workstations. The hotel has a multilingual staff and a 24-hour help desk – so you won’t have any worries!

For a budget hotel, there are a few fancy quirks! A rooftop lounge and bar, a games room, a communal lounge and access to a fitness centre. The hotel has restaurants cooking Mexican and Italian dishes. Coffee and pastries are also on offer.

“Stayed here recently and loved it. A great place to stay solo if you’re not looking for much and won’t be in the room too often. I’ll be staying there from now on. I’m not sure if it’s technically in Times Square or not, but I felt like it was close enough to be convenient but far enough that you’re not directly in the hustle and bustle.”

I stayed at a Pod Hotel in the Murray Hill neighborhood, and it was about a 15-20 minute walk to and from Times Square. Probably depends on your comfort level, but it was a pretty well-lit/traveled path, and I felt pretty safe walking there and back.

This four-star boutique is in the heart of Manhattan and provides one of the best memorable unique stays in New York. It gives its guests immediate access to the vibrant Times Square, where you’ll find the majority of the city’s biggest theaters.

The hotel offers well-sized rooms with all the modern features you’d expect from a four-star boutique – WIFI, flat-screen TV, and an on-site fitness centre. It’s a popular place for business travellers to stay, so if you want a bit more of a reserved vibe, this is a good option.

Guests can start their day with a delicious continental breakfast and relax in the evening with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine, and cheese.

I stayed at the Millennium Premiere on 44th.

Only a few doors down from Good Night Oscar. Close to Times Square without the noise. Direct hallway and entrance on 45th as well. Great coffee shop across the street called Gregory’s with good sandwiches too!

I traveled alone and walked to all my shows when I was there in April and felt safe.

Whatever you choose, have a great time!

The hotel has a 24-hour butler device, spa treatments, an indoor saltwater pool, a private fitness centre and an incredible hotel restaurant – The Lambs Club.
