Civilians flee to southern Gaza after Israel’s warning More than 1.1 million people living in northern Gaza are under orders to evacuate. Civilians are fleeing the area by car, on the back of trucks and by foot after an Israeli warning that civilians should move south within 24 hours. Teacher killed in France school stabbing A teacher has been stabbed to death in France and two others seriously injured in a knife attack at a school. Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said the attack happened at the Gambetta High School in the northern city of Arras at about 11:00 local time. Seven dead after vehicle crashes in Bavaria A crowded minivan driven by a suspected people-smuggler, overturned in Germany, killing at least seven people. More than 20 migrants, including children, are thought to have been in the van. The accident has come amid a rise in people-smuggling which has led several Central and Eastern European countries to impose border checks.
