Melbourne is gearing up to host the Australian Open 2023, with the tennis action getting underway Down Under on Monday.
Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will resume their epic quest to be known as the greatest male tennis player of all time, with 21 and 22 Grand Slam titles to their names respectively.
Djokovic is the most successful player in the history of the tournament with nine victories to his name, whilst career rival Nadal starts as defending champion having come back from two sets down against Daniil Medvedev in last year’s final.
Meanwhile in the women’s draw, world number one Iga Swiatek will be amongst the favourites to take the crown of retired champion Ash Barty, while Emma Raducanu will be looking for an improvement on last year’s second round exit.

How to watch the Australian Open on TV
Eurosport has the rights to show live coverage of the Australian Open on TV in the UK, across its two channels.

Mats Wilander, Barbara Schett and Tim Henman will be amongst those fronting the coverage from the Eurosport Cube.
Each day, play will begin with the day sessions from midnight UK time, whilst the evening sessions will get underway from 8am.
After the action has finished for the day, Eurosport will show match highlights on their TV channels.
