Turkey nightclub attack: IS says it was behind killing of 39

This Morning the So-called Islamic state claimed responsibility for attacks in Turkey on New Years Eve. And according to Turkish Authorities the origin of the gunmen is believed to be Central Asian. A disturbing video is circulating which captures the event from inside the club. As many as two-thirds of those killed in the attack were foreign nationals.

“In continuation of the blessed operations that Islamic State is conducting against the protector of the cross, Turkey, a heroic soldier of the caliphate struck one of the most famous nightclubs where the Christians celebrate their apostate holiday,” the statement said. China Daily

The Kurdistan Worker’s Party, or PKK, earlier issued a statement distancing itself from the attack, which took place during the early hours of January 1. CNN USA
