PRINCE HARRY: PROTECTING NATURE DOESN’T MAKE ME A HIPPY
BBC News reports protecting nature is “fundamental to our survival” and should not be dismissed as “hippy,” Prince Harry has said, Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Harry said humanity needs to beat “greed, apathy and selfishness” to guarantee survival. Adding it is essential we “co-exist” and learn from mistakes “to protect the world’s most valuable assets.” He said: “This may well sound hippy to some. But we cannot afford to have a ‘them or us’ mentality. Humans and animals and their habitats fundamentally need to co-exist or within the next 10 years our problems across the globe will become even more unmanageable.”

FAMILIES MAY BE ABLE TO ADD TWO STOREYS TO THEIR HOME WITHOUT PLANNING PERMISSION, UNDER NEW GOVERNMENT REFORMS
The Daily Mail reports families will be able to add two storeys to their homes without planning permission in reforms to be unveiled today. Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick is to announce the move in a series of measures tearing up ‘outdated and bureaucratic’ planning laws. The proposal, affecting owners of detached properties, will still require light-touch planning approval. But under the new plans, families will be able to build two storeys using the same system for small extensions and loft conversions.

OSVALDO CARVALHO STABBING: THREE BROTHERS CHARGED WITH THE MURDER OF 22-YEAR-OLD IN WEST LONDON
The Independent says three brothers have been charged with the murder of a 22-year-old man who was stabbed to death in west London last week. Osvaldo Carvello was attacked near Ealing Common on Tuesday. And pronounced dead at the scene. Kamaljit Sohal, Sukhminder Sohal and Micheal Sohal have now been charged with his murder, the MET police confirmed. The three brothers will appear in custody at Ealing Magistrates’ Court later this week.
