Tim Burton is known for his distinct characters – but now his work has penetrated the world of makeup, too.
His characters are the inspiration behind a new look sweeping beauty lovers, known as ‘Tim Burton Eyes.’
And if you want to blaze a trail and be a trend-setter in 2023 then this style is for you.
This particular look is all about accentuating your eye area to give that wide-eyed, animated look.

It’s an understated gothic-meets-romantic blend of soft grunge makeup that’s going to be super popular thanks to how fabulous Jenna Ortega looked playing the iconic Wednesday Addams.
Rachael Divers, a resident makeup artist at Face The Future, told us how to create the Tim Burton Eyes at home.
She says start by prepping your eyelids and under eye area with a skin-toned concealer for a flawless base and setting with a translucent powder to lock everything into place.

Then, sweep your favourite soft brown eyeshadow across your eyelid, blending up into your socket line. Take the same brown and gently buff it across your lower lash line, too.
To create more depth, add a deeper brown (or black if you’re feeling brave) up against your top lash line to create a grungy, powdered eyeliner effect. Also apply to your lower lash line.
To create that wide-eyed, animated look, take a white eyeliner onto your lower waterline (you can also use a nude beige, or a soft golden tone for a more natural, flattering look that’s also gorgeous for party season).
Add a couple of coats of mascara to your top and bottom lashes to complete your look.
