Britain is, naturally, a nation of Take That fans, so who better to choose the band’s best song?
Listeners of BBC Two were put to the test as they were asked to choose their favourite Take That song – a major decision considering they have a whopping 139 tracks.
But with so many to choose from – including no less than 18 number one hits – one has come out on top as the winner.
Brits have chosen 1995 hit Never Forget as their favourite Take That song of all time, and the band seem to agree.
Next up was Back for Good, and in third place the brilliant Rule The World. Shine came in fourth, and rounding off the top five was Greatest Day.
The revelation comes ahead of a special New Year’s Day broadcast on BBC Two which will see host Cat Deeley count down the band’s top 30 songs, as well as both new and archive interviews with some of the members.

In one such interview, icon Gary Barlow recalls how Never Forget was written, explaining the demo was far more ‘laid back’ than the massive pop song it is today.
‘It wasn’t until it went to Jim Steinman’s studio in New York that it started to get the drama of something that would end a concert,’ he admitted.
‘When it came back from him, I thought, “Well, there’s the encore right there.” I could see everyone in the audience singing this song. Within a couple of nights the crowd had got the hang of putting their arms in the air every time you sing a “Never”.’

He added that they have ‘never dared to leave it out of a set list,’ asking: ‘Why would you? It’s always a real pleasure to perform this song.
‘ I’m so glad that people, after all these years, still hold it so close to their hearts, so thank you everyone.’
Mark Owen, meanwhile, said the track was among his favourite Take That songs too, saying it is a ‘special moment’ when audiences throw their hands up in the air to take part.
‘Never Forget is a journey, it is within the song and it has been for us in our lifetimes,’ he said.

The fan-favourite tracks were compiled after a vote which opened on November 23 and closed on December 14, which allowed listeners to choose up to three of their favourite songs from Take That’s Top 75 UK chart singles.
It comes as Gary confirmed Take That were working on a new album – their first in five years.
Now a trio following the departure of Robbie Williams and Jason Orange, fans have lots to look forward to next year as the group are set to return to the studio.
