Piers Morgan has made it very clear he won’t be heading to the Australian jungle any time soon for I’m A Celebrity.
But the former Good Morning Britain host, who famously stormed off live on air over Meghan Markle, isn’t a complete stranger to reality TV.
The broadcaster, 57, has been a judge on both Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent and also won The Celebrity Apprentice US, which was helmed by former US president Donald Trump.
While Piers has graced our screens on juggernaut series, he has shut down any talk of him appearing on I’m A Celebrity, mainly over fears he would be outcasted by his family.
And it’s probably a good thing he didn’t appear on this year’s edition of the ITV show, with former contestant and radio DJ Chris Moyles previously telling Metro.co.uk Piers would be his ‘nightmare’ campmate.
Meanwhile, the TalkTV presenter has been scathing about Matt Hancock’s stint Down Under, slamming him for ‘eating kangaroo testicles 10,000 miles away’ instead of meeting constituents.

But when asked if he ever would consider joining the I’m A Celeb line-up, Piers responded: ‘I would rather shoot myself slowly with a slow moving bullet that corroded through every bone in my body before it finished me off than go into the jungle with people like Matt Hancock and munch kangaroo testicles.
He told The Sun: ‘My parents have actually said to me they would put up with anything – and I’ve put them through a lot – but not the jungle.

‘It’s a step too far. That’s their red line. I’d get disowned.’
Piers has previously named his price to sign up to the show presented by Ant and Dec – and he would want a fat pay cheque.
He tweeted in 2019: ‘Like I said, £5 million & I’ll come and munch kangaroo testicles. Not a penny less.’
While I’m A Celeb is off the cards, Piers has called on Simon Cowell to bring him back on as a judge on BGT amid rumours David Walliams has left the show after he was heard making derogatory comments about auditionees in a leaked recording.

Piers wrote on Twitter: ‘Time to get the old band back together, @SimonCowell?’ alongside a picture of the original judging panel and to an article claiming Walliams has ‘sensationally quit’ the show.
I’m A Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
