Peter Andre has expressed his relief after his 17-year-old son Junior, who he shares with ex Katie Price, passed his driving test, gaining his full licence.
Earning it the second time around, the teenager made his popstar dad ‘proud’ when he drove to his sister Princess’s school to pick her up after his test.
With his two children strapped in, Peter let Junior take the wheel and the pair made their way to McDonald’s for a celebratory visit to the drive thru.
However, Junior is apparently enjoying his newfound freedom a little too much, with Peter sharing that he and his wife Emily MacDonagh have ‘barely seen’ the youngster since teaching him how to drive.
Expressing his pride at his son’s latest accomplishment, the singer let readers of his New magazine column in on his feelings.
He gushed: ‘I’m feeling like such a proud dad, as Junior has passed his driving test!

‘The first thing he did was pick Princess up from school and then they went to McDonald’s. I felt so proud watching them drive off together.’
The Mysterious Girl musician remarked that his son is a ‘very good driver and passed second time’, adding: ‘So I have no worries and I trust him.’
Passing a dig at how the youngster used to get about, Peter admitted he was happy Junior was swapping two wheels for four after upgrading from his moped.
‘I feel so much better about him being in a car than on his moped,’ he confessed. ‘I am so relieved this stage is over.
‘I didn’t want him not to have something he really wanted, but I worried every time he went on it!’

Before securing his full driving licence, Peter’s son took to Instagram to share his new ride with his followers.
Posing inside the shiny black Audi A1 that was a birthday present from his adoring dad, the teen captioned the picture with: ‘Couldn’t be more grateful right now… my dad got me the car of my dreams.’
Believed to have cost £25,000, the new wheels also sported a personalised number plate that spelt out ‘Junior’.
Wanting in on the action, Peter snapped a shot of Junior and Princess sitting in the car and uploaded it to Instragram, taking another chance to spill his fatherly pride for the pair.
He left a message of encouragement underneath the post that has since come full circle: ‘I think he’s loving his new car. Happy birthday son. Now you just have to pass your test. @officialjunior_andre @officialprincess_andre’.
