The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg declared inadmissible the appeal presented by the lawyers of Sabrina Misseri and Cosima Serrano sentenced to life imprisonment in February 2017 for the death of Sarah Scazzi, the fifteen year old killed on 26 August 2010 in Avetrana, in province of Taranto.

The appeal was presented to the European Court in April 2018 and after more than six years the response arrived, expected as the last judicial basis to overturn the conviction.

After benefiting from a prison reduction of 696 days, the man was released from prison and returned to live in the house in via Deledda, in Avetrana, last February.
