A couple on Married at First Sight Australia have been thrown a curveball after finding our they were related on their wedding day.
The latest season of the reality series kicked off two weeks ago and while there’s already been plenty of drama, marrying a stranger became the least awkward thing about tying the knot for these two.
During their reception, guests at voice over artist Ollie Skelton’s and PR Manager Tahnee Cook’s wedding started to recognise each other.
It turns out that Tahnee’s brother-in-law is Ollie’s second cousin.
The source spilling the tea made sure to clarify that despite the close connection, the newlyweds aren’t actually related by blood.
‘Technically, they are distant relatives in a weird way,’ the source told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
‘A lot of the cast would joke about it,’ they added.

However, it doesn’t appear that this strange storyline is actually going to play out in front of the cameras.
‘They laughed about this a few times during filming, but it probably won’t be aired as Channel Nine won’t want people spinning it into an incest-style headline scandal,’ the insider said.
While other couples on this series are already starting to have cracks appear in their honeymoon period, Ollie, 26, and Tahnee, 27, have quickly become fan favourites.

Instantly hitting it off at the altar, the couple bonded over Thai food and their mutual dislike of online dating, and later, their complete lack of sporting abilities.
On their honeymoon in Fiji, the pair managed to not only fall out of a hammock but had some trouble with staying on a paddle board and playing tennis.
