Police are hunting three suspects after a man suffered a fractured skull when he was thrown against a concrete wall at a train station in west London.
The 38-year-old also suffered a bleed on the brain following a ‘verbal altercation’ with three men at Chiswick station late on October 14 last year, British Transport Police (BTP) said.
He suffered a cardiac arrest in December and died in hospital weeks later in January this year.
The three men suspected of being involved in the attack ran from the scene and jumped on a bus heading towards Turnham Green.
BTP has released CCTV images of three men detectives believe may be able to assist them with the investigation.
A spokesperson said: ‘Detectives await further pathologist results to establish [the victim’s] cause of death, however they are not currently treating it as a murder investigation.’
They added: ‘Officers investigating a serious assault at Chiswick station are today releasing these images in connection.

‘On October 14 at around 11.50pm, the victim was at Chiswick station when a verbal altercation took place with three men.
‘The victim, a man aged 38, was thrown against a concrete wall which resulted in him banging his head and being knocked unconscious. The three men ran from the scene and boarded a bus towards Turnham Green.
‘The victim was taken to hospital where he suffered a bleed on the brain and a fractured skull.
‘Very sadly, the victim suffered a cardiac arrest in December and died in hospital in January this year.’
