The Masked Singer US will pay tribute to the late Kirstie Alley during Wednesday’s episode following her death aged 71.
The family of the Cheers actress announced she had died following a short battle with cancer on December 6, describing her as an ‘amazing mother and grandmother’ in an emotional statement.
Alley’s last television appearance was on the competition series The Masked Singer earlier this year, in which she was unveiled as the baby mammoth.
Tributes have been flooding in for Alley and the Fox programme will honour the star with a card in this week’s holiday special episode, Masked Singer Seasonal Sing-A-Long Spectacular!, which airs Wednesday, December 7, at 9pm in the US.
Alley participated in the seventh season of The Masked Singer alongside the likes of Rudy Giuliani, Shaggy, En Vogue, and Cheyenne Jackson.

The series was won by singer-songwriter Teyana Taylor, who was behind the firefly costume.
Alley lost her place in the competition after receiving the least amount of votes from panelists Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, and Jenny McCarthy.
‘I’ve done a lot of things in my career, but I’ve never gotten to be in the circus,’ she joked as her enormous pink mask came off.

‘She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead.’
