Human remains found in search for missing Sydney couple
Australian authorities have announced the discovery of two bodies in the search for missing Sydney couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies.
“We are highly confident that we have found Luke and Jesse,” stated New South Wales (NSW) Police Commissioner Karen Webb.
Earlier, Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, a former partner of Baird, was charged with the murder of the pair.
The bodies were found on a rural property in Bungonia.
Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, a serving police officer, initially refused to cooperate with the investigation, but on Tuesday morning he told officers where the bodies were.
Detective Superintendent Daniel Doherty revealed that the remains were uncovered “near the property’s entrance,” with efforts made to conceal them using rocks and debris.
Authorities suspect that the deceased couple was transported in a white van using two “surf bags” from Baird’s home in Paddington, where they were believed to have been killed.
