Graham Potter admits Chelsea have ‘every right’ to sack him as head coach and that he would ‘accept’ the club’s decision about his future.
Potter only arrived as boss in September after owner Todd Boehly – who took over from Roman Abramovich in the summer – dismissed Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues lost 2-1 to west London rivals Fulham in their last Premier League match, a result which keeps them 10th in the table and 10 points off the top four prior to Sunday’s clash against Crystal Palace.
Chelsea have also crashed out of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup – with disgruntled Blues fans heard signing Tuchel’s name as the exited the latter competition.
It has been a period of transition for Chelsea – who spent around £280m on new players ahead of the 2022-23 campaign – but they have been in horrendous form recently, with the pressure on Potter continuing to grow.
Potter now admits that he could lose his job and that he is ‘not naive’ over his future despite receiving support from Chelsea’s board.
‘There are always questions if you don’t get results,’ Potter said.

‘I was under pressure after two defeats before the (World Cup) break, that’s from the media.
‘In terms of the board, I’ve had full support. They have been very reassuring.
‘But I’m not naive and if anyone I work for thinks the problem lies with me they have every right to say, ‘Thank you very much but it’s not working’ – and I accept that.’

Former Blues striker Chris Sutton believes American owner Boehly is already losing patience with Potter.
‘Chelsea, over the past 20 years, have been a team who have won big trophies and they look miles off it,’ he said.
‘The question is how much can Todd Boehly tolerate? I just wonder whether they will view this as a job too big for Graham Potter.’
However, another ex-Chelsea player, Gus Poyet, has defended Potter and feels the Englishman needs more time.
