Covid-19: Free flu jabs offered to all over 50s in ‘winter like no other’
BBC News says people aged 50-64 are being offered free flu jabs as part of an expanded winter vaccine scheme to tackle the “twin threats” of flu and Covid-19.
The group is being added to a list of people who are already eligible for a flu jab in England, such as those over 65 and NHS and social care workers.
Thirty million people are being offered the vaccine in England’s largest flu-immunisation programme to date.

The stay-at-home order will go into effect from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. each day, starting Saturday night and ending on the morning of Dec. 21, covering 41 of California’s 58 counties and the vast majority of its population, Governor Gavin Newsom said.

RT News says a new lockdown over South Australia is set to be lifted after officials revealed the restrictions were brought on the basis of a deliberate “lie” told to contact tracers, prompting a “fuming” rebuke from the state executive.
“To say I am fuming about the actions of this individual is an absolute understatement,” South Australia Premier Steven Marshall said, adding “The selfish actions of this individual have put our whole state in a very difficult situation” and are “completely and utterly unacceptable.”
