A council has been forced to issue an apology after all drivers entering a car park were ticketed by mistake.
Hilarious pictures show all of the vehicles in the High Wycombe lot with the dreaded yellow tickets on their windscreens.
Red-faced bosses at Buckinghamshire Council said the mix-up happened because the entire car park was wrongly closed off.
It appears the parking suspension should have applied to a much smaller area, where EV charging bays were being installed.
Councillor Steven Broadbent said: ‘We want to apologise to the people who parked at Railway Place and Duke Street car parks in High Wycombe this week and who received parking tickets during a closure of the car park.
‘Whilst we do enforce parking across the county these tickets should not have been issued and we will be reversing the parking tickets (PCNs) to everyone who received them.
‘Only a small number of parking bays should have been closed to install brand new EV charging bays rather than the whole car park and we did not give our customers enough notice of this action.
‘We are sorry for any inconvenience and upset caused. Anyone who has been ticketed should take no further action as the notices will be cancelled, and anyone who has already paid the PCN charge will be refunded.’

A similar incident happened to a man last year who amassed more than 100 parking fines for parking in his own space.
Graham Bethel said the fines had caused many sleepless nights, and stopped him leasing a car due to his low credit score.

A dad was also given a £100 parking ticket for overstaying in a car park for 16 minutes earlier this year.
He said he was unaware their car was overstaying its welcome in the nearby carpark.
It wasn’t until a letter appeared through the family’s front door weeks later that they realised what had happened.
