Kheerat is determined (Pictures: BBC)
After the discovery of Ranveer (Anil Goutam)’s body in EastEnders, it was only a matter of time before the net would close in on Suki (Balvinder Sopal). Since the perverted businessman’s death, Suki has lived with the belief that she killed him.
Suki hit Ranveer with a clock as he tried to rape her. As he lay unconscious and bleeding she was convinced he was dead. Ravi (Aaron Thiara) showed up at that point and offered to help her dispose of the body, but when Suki wasn’t there, Ranveer stirred. Realising the man he thought was his father was alive, Ravi hit him again with the same clock, this time making sure he was dead and getting rid of the body.
Since then, Ravi has kept a close eye on Suki, who has increasingly struggled with the burden of thinking she killed a man, and the knowledge that one day her crime might be found out.
Her fears are realised in upcoming episodes when a family meal is interrupted by the police, who’ve come to arrest Suki for Ranveer’s murder.
Kheerat (Jaz Singh Deol) immediately wonders why Ravi is nowhere to be found, feeling that his absence is suspicious, as is the way he’s been behaving around Suki recently. He’s also angry at Nish (Navin Chowdhry), who’s only recently revealed that Ravi is his son. Kheerat can’t helping wondering where his father’s loyalties lie.
