Cristiano Ronaldo’s explosive attack on Manchester United has not stopped David Beckham from reaching out to the forward’s camp over a sensational move to Inter Miami, according to reports.
The 37-year-old appears to have burnt his bridges at Old Trafford after accusing the club’s hierarchy of ‘betraying’ him, while he said he would ‘never respect’ manager Erik ten Hag.
United are seeking legal advice before deciding their next move, while they also want to see the full 90-minute interview when it airs on Wednesday, but are reportedly considering tearing up Ronaldo’s contract.
According to The Sun, that has presented an opportunity for Beckham who is desperate to lure the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to Florida.
The Inter Miami owner has long harboured an ambition to bring either Ronaldo or Lionel Messi – or perhaps even both – to his MLS club and appears to sense an opportunity to finally achieve that goal.
While some sides may have been put off the prospect of signing the Portuguese attacker following his controversial interview with Piers Morgan, Beckham reacted by reaching out to Ronaldo’s representatives.
The possibility of the former Real Madrid and Juventus star being available on a free transfer in January is too good an opportunity to turn down, especially with their previous star forward, Gonzalo Higuain, having just retired.

Although there have been suggestions that Ronaldo still wants to stay in Europe and believes he can play for a Champions League-level club, his entourage told Beckham that he would be interested in a switch Stateside.
Inter Miami would not be the only MLS side interested in luring Ronaldo to the USA, with both LAFC and LA Galaxy ready to put forward offers if United terminate his contract.
The Sun’s report claims Beckham would be a ‘major lure’ for the veteran forward, while he would not have an issue working under current head coach Phil Neville despite criticising brother Gary during his interview with Morgan.
Right now, Ronaldo is only focused on performing for Portugal at the World Cup and a decision on his future will be made once his participation at the tournament is over.
United will grant all their players a week off following their exploits in Qatar, meaning the earliest the saga is likely to conclude is on December 9 – a week after Portugal’s final group game, were they to leave at that early stage.
Despite Beckham’s approach to sign Ronaldo, his first-choice target still remains Messi – a player he has courted for some time – and he could try and get the two former Clasico rivals to play on the same side in what would be an incredible coup for Major League Soccer.
