A 38-year-old man wanted for a murder and a stabbing has been found dead in a river.
Miguel Angel Alvarez Florentino was publicly named by police as a suspect in the knife attack on two women in east London last month.
But on Friday evening, detectives discovered his body in a river near Blaker Road, in Stratford, east London.
His family has been told and the death, though unexplained, is not being treated as suspicious.
Florentino was wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing Yolanda Saldana Feliz, 53, and over the non-fatal knifing of an unnamed 30-year-old woman, in Newham on Sunday, October 23.
The two victims, who knew the suspect, were found injured at a house in Windmill Lane at around 3.30am.
Officers then took the unusual step of publicly naming Florentino as the suspect, while launching a manhunt to find him.

The Metropolitan Police say that at around 7.30pm on Friday, it became aware of the body of a man in a river.
The remains were retrieved and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
While formal identification is yet to take place, the Met says it is confident it is the body of Florentino.
