Russia and Turkey have reportedly thrashed out the purchase of Russia’s S-400 advanced anti-missile system, USA Business News specialists Bloomberg reports. The deal will allegedly see two batteries being delivered to Turkey as well as a technology transfer. The parties to the deal, which has been in the works since November 2016, have finally agreed on the price of the contract, which should amount to $2.5 billion, the magazine reported Wednesday, citing an anonymous Turkish official. Logistics group Eddie Stobart has bought a 50 percent stake in a Knutsford-based provider of nationwide business-to-business express freight services. Stobart Group Ltd is a British infrastructure and support services company, with interests in energy, aviation and rail, through operations in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The well-known group, which floated earlier this year, has acquired a 50 per cent interest in Puro Ventures, which trades as Speedy Freight. The acquisition was said to complement Eddie Stobart’s service offering to business customers in the e-commerce sector and broadens its capabilities across the whole supply chain. Moscow and Beijing have agreed that North Korea should freeze its nuclear and missile programs, while the US and South Korea should abstain from holding war games in the region, Russian President Vladimir Putin said. Russia and China will be taking further “unspecified” countermeasures to the US plan to deploy an anti-missile system in South Korea, according to Chinese news agency, Xinhua.
