Trump questioned in defamation rape case America’s former president Donald Trump has been questioned under oath in a lawsuit brought against him by a woman who claims he raped her in the mid-1990s. E Jean Carroll alleges the attack took place in a New York luxury department store dressing room. Trump had denied the allegation and said Ms Carroll was lying – which led her to sue him for defamation.
