Noni Madueke is set to join Chelsea (Picture: Getty Images) PSV Eindhoven boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has confirmed the club have accepted an offer from Chelsea for Noni Madueke. Reports broke on Thursday night that the Blues had submitted a £29m proposal to sign the midfielder. Madueke, 20, was born in London and came through Crystal Palace’s academy. He rejected offers from Manchester United in 2018 in favour of joining PSV. Sergei Surovikin removed as commander of Ukraine invasion force Russia’s top commander in Ukraine, Sergei Surovikin, has been removed from his post after just three months in the job. Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov will now lead Russia’s war in Ukraine – referred to as a “special military operation” by President Putin. The reshuffle comes as Russia claims they are making progress in eastern Ukraine after suffering a series of military defeats in recent months.
