Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is reportedly ‘p****d off’ that Joao Felix’s future at the club has not been resolved.
Felix’s time in the Spanish capital looked to be up heading into the January transfer window having endured a strained relationship with Simeone, starting just seven matches this season.
The club and his agent Jorge Mendes have attempted to find a new club for the Portugal international with Atletico asking for €100million for the 23-year-old.
With little interest in a permanent deal at this stage, Atletico are also open to a loan exit until the end of the season with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all considering a move.
However, Atletico’s current loan demands have seen the Premier League sides cool their interest with the club reportedly seeking a €15million loan fee plus his entire wages over the period, around €6m, to be covered.
Atletico are also reluctant to include an obligation or option to buy Felix under their current terms.
The situation is frustrating Simeone, according to El Larguero on Cadena SER. Felix played for Atletico in their first game back after the World Cup, scoring in the 2-0 win over Elche in 29 December.

But according to the report, the former Benfica starlet has not trained since having reported a calf injury. Adding to his manager’s frustration, the forward was also seen out celebrating New Year’s Eve with his partner and several members of the first-team.
The report adds Simeone is ‘angry’ and ‘p****d off’ having been told Felix’s would be quickly resolved. Felix has also been left out of the Atletico squad for Wednesday night’s Copa del Rey clash against Oviedo.
‘While he’s here, I’ll try to get the best out of Joao Felix for the club,’ Simeone recently said of the player in a press conference.
‘Then we will see what’s going to happen.’
Arsenal are eager to bring in another forward option with Gabriel Jesus sidelined until March. While the Gunners hold an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League, their lack of options of the bench was evident during Tuesday’s goalless draw against Newcastle United.
Reports suggest however Arsenal have already said no to the current terms of the loan deal being proposed by Atletico, with United also unwilling to meet them.
