A suspect shot a police officer at a high school in Austin, Texas, and is on the run as the campus has been placed on lockdown.
Northeast Early College High School was locked down on Tuesday morning ‘due to shots heard in the area’, stated the Austin Independent School District.
The cop was transported to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the Austin-American Statesman reported.
The campus was deemed ‘safe’ but remained under lockdown as of noon, the school district posted.
