Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville believes Erik ten Hag has found the ‘solution’ to bring the best out of both Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.
After a tough start to the game where David de Gea was forced into two superb saves, United took the lead before half-time against Leicester City on Sunday through Marcus Rashford’s opener.
United improved dramatically in the second-half with Rashford adding another as he continued his wonderful run of form with Sancho also on target, capping a fine move to leave United cruising towards victory.
Sancho was brought on at half-time, replacing Alejandro Garnacho who had struggled to impose himself on the game.
It prompted a reshape in attack, with the former Borussia Dortmund star taking up a central role behind Wout Weghorst up front, with Rashford on the left and Fernandes on the right.
With space to operate in a no10 role, Sancho turned in an impressive performance off the bench, exploiting space between the lines with United creating a number of opportunities to extend their lead.
With Rashford in unstoppable form coming in off the left and in the centre forward role, Neville believes ten Hag now has a system that can also allow Sancho to thrive alongside his England teammate.

‘It’s an interesting position, seeing Sancho at that number 10 in this second half,’ Neville told Sky Sports while on commentary duty for the game.
‘You would think of Rashford’s best position being on the left or centre forward, neither of them like it on the right. It might be a solution to get them both in.
‘Erik ten Hag, we were surprised weren’t we that he moved Rashford out of a central position and put him in there, but it’s working.
‘The manager’s seen something in training that he really likes and we’re now seeing it.’
Victory for United solidifies their place in third place after Newcastle United lost on Saturday and puts them back within five points of league leaders Arsenal and three behind Manchester City.
United take on the Magpies in the Carabao Cup final next Sunday, welcoming Barcelona to Old Trafford before that for the second leg of their Europa League play-off.
