Euphoria star Chloe Cherry has revealed that she had such a ‘traumatising’ time working in a restaurant that it made her appreciate the boundaries in the porn industry.
The actress, 25, joined the second season of the Zendaya-lead teen drama last year, introduced as a new character called Faye, the girlfriend of Custer (Tyler Chase), a drug supplier who works with Fez (Angus Cloud).
But before then, she had been best known for acting in over 200 adult films.
Moving to Miami at 18 to work in the industry, Chloe worked in porn for six years, however before then she paid the bills working as a waitress.
However, speaking to Emily Ratajkowski on her podcast High Low, Chloe shared that she had an experience that she labelled ‘f***ing traumatising’.
Opening up about the sexual harassment she faced while working in the hospitality industry, she spoke about working under a ‘creepy’ boss.

‘He was like an actual sexual predator. Like, nobody in porn is a registered sex offender,’ she said.
‘In porn, it was like, this is what we’re going to do today.
‘There wasn’t like, then this random guy comes up to you and tries to touch you.’
She added: ‘I felt so much more respected in porn than in a restaurant.’
Chloe went on to say that she was grateful for working in the porn industry, saying: ‘I’m so f***ing glad that I made tons of f***ing money at 18 instead of just scrapping my way as a s***ty waitress.
‘I was confident enough to do that instead of wasting my life being hit on by some creepy 40 year old [male boss].’

However, while she found considerable success in porn, Chloe has now chosen to re-focus on her acting career after her Euphoria casting.
She also told Emily, 31, that she wasn’t ‘comfortable’ with being an actress that ‘everyone in the industry is going to treat differently’.
‘When I was just a normal person, I was on an even playing field, but now I’m not.’

Chloe also revealed that she had found acting far more lucrative and could make what she earnt in a year in porn, during a day by acting.
She has previously spoken about having to overcome certain ideas about sex that hindered her ability to explore her own sexuality.
Taught that ‘abstinence is key and all this weird stuff’, she spoke about how she ‘had these weird ideas about sex’.
Euphoria is streaming on NOW.
