Kate Winslet has shared a truly wild and horrific story, recalling a moment when she thought she actually did a poo on stage during a live performance.
The Oscar-winning actress appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, where she didn’t hold back from sharing the incredible story.
‘I nearly did a poo on stage once,’ she began.
The 47-year-old actress continued: ‘I’m just sitting here now realising that you’re going to make me tell that story.’
As Sir Lenny Henry, Jack Whitehall and Nadiya Hussain urged her on, Kate explained she was 18-years-old at the time taking part in a performance of What The Butler Saw in Manchester.
In one scene, her character was applying for a job in a doctor’s surgery, in which she has to ‘go behind a curtain and strip’.

‘So in a normal situation, there’s a regular stage like this one with an audience [there], so you’d go behind the curtain, take your clothes off, throw your things over and no one can see you because you’re behind a curtain in the normal stage.
‘This theatre was in the round. So, little me, so I go behind the curtain, and I I do what I’ve done for nights on end, and I take everything off.’
The Titanic star continued: ‘So I’m lying there, really kind of uncomfortably and awkwardly, and suddenly [freezes].

‘It’s happening! It’s happening! It’s happening! Oh my god, I’m going to s**t myself!’
As the rest of the panel laughed, she hilariously continued: ‘I’m lying on a white sheet! Naked! On a stage! So I’m like, “oh my god, happening, happening, happening now.”
‘So I’m convinced I’ve totally s**t myself on stage.
‘And I think, “What am I going to do – in a minute I have to stand up, come out from behind the curtain, and look for all my clothes that he’s hidden in plant pots!”.

‘And I’m like, “I’ve done a f**king poo! This is horrific!”
‘So I start to crumple this sheet as best I can, I do some kind of ninja flip mood and twist myself, and bind this sheet all around myself, and I’m still thinking it’s happening!
‘And I’m standing in front of an audience who can see me from every f**king angle! And I’m absolutely just convinced that if I move my body there’s going to be poo on the cloth.’

‘Honestly, I practically slither off the stage and cried in a corner,’ Kate admitted before she actually checked the sheet and realise she hadn’t actually done a poo.
‘But the second I ran into my dressing room and got into the bathroom… gunfire!’
The Graham Norton Show continues on Friday at 9.55pm on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
