A Modern Warfare 2 bug that creates invisible walls has caused chaos amongst players.
Season 1 only kicked off a few hours ago, for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, adding a bunch of new items to the Call Of Duty sequels and starting them on their multi-year, live service journey.
As part of the patch update, Modern Warfare 2 saw one of its most unpopular features finally get fixed, on top of several weapons getting a boost.
Shoot House, which is a multiplayer map featured in the previous Modern Warfare games, also arrived with the Season 1 update, but a bug has made it essentially unplayable.
The map is meant to be a live fire kill house situated somewhere in the deserts of Urzikstan, serving as training grounds for soldiers.
This means it has a lot of back alleys where you can hide and wait to catch enemies off-guard.
A lot of players have been following this strategy, but their plans quickly fell apart as giant, invisible walls started to appear across portions of the map.
What happens is you can see other players, but your bullets can’t reach them, as they get stuck on the walls.
The walls also cause your drill charges, grenades, and other items to get kicked back at you, damaging your operator instead of the opponent.
A lot of players quickly noticed that something was wrong and ran to social media to show off proof of the bug, and warn others to avoid the affected areas.
The same passage was also spotted by another player who posted a photo of the exact location on Twitter.
Although some were annoyed at the situation, others tried to find humour in it, with Twitch streamer Apollo wondering whether he was seeing things because he was too tired.
Another player even jokingly said that they didn’t remember invisible walls being part of the original map and tagged the official Call Of Duty account in the hope the issue gets resolved quickly.

The Shoot House bug hasn’t been the only problem the Call Of Duty sequels have faced so far, as players have also spotted glitches in Warzone 2’s DMZ mode.
However, since the mode has now been dubbed a beta by Activision, that’s arguably more understandable.
