Mike Myers is “still gutted” by Queen Elizabeth II’s death and admittedly was left in tears before he revealed the monarch’s sweet tribute to Austin Powers actor when he visited Buckingham Palace.
Mike Myers
Appearing on Good Morning America, Mike Myers, 59, who was born to English immigrants who left Liverpool for Canada after serving in World War II (WWII), spoke highly of Queen Elizabeth II, who died on September, 8. Speaking about how Austin Powers, one of Mike’s most notable roles, was inspired by his English parents, talk quickly turned to the Queen, who Mike described as a “great lady”.
With his mother serving in the Royal Air Force and his father as an engineer in the British Army during WWII, Mike spoke proudly of both of his parents, going on to say that their generation was his “favourite generation”.
