WTX News reports President Trump condemned racism and white supremacy and said ‘hate has no place in America.’ The President blamed mental illness and hate for the reasons behind the El Paso shooting and balmed social media and violent video games for glorifying violence.
The President did not address his own racist remarks and whether they may have influenced the El Paso shooter. Critics say Trump’s harsh language towards illegal immigrants has contributed to a rise in racially-motivated attacks.
