All Saints wished their chart-topping track Never Ever a happy 25 years today and never ever have we ever felt so old.
The four-piece remembered the day their first number one single hit airwaves with a tribute picture and acknowledged the band’s big breakthrough tune by asking followers to get involved in the celebrations.
Blowing up in 1997, the girl band took home a Brit award for the song, winning best video and best single.
Alongside the song’s artwork, the musical icons tweeted: ‘Happy 25th anniversary to our first number one single #NeverEver. What are your memories of this song??’
Met with a flood of responses, fans began describing what Never Ever reminded them of.
One wrote: ‘An absolute classic.

‘The Appleton harmonies, Shaznay’s sassy annunciation, Mel Blatt’s honey vocals, THAT video. Just perfection.’
Another referenced the 90s era which the track became a theme-tune of: ‘I remember singing it at the top of my lungs during recess at HS. #90skid [SIC]’
Posting gifs and tributes to ‘the best girlband ever’ and their ‘masterpiece’, the replies carried on for multiple threads as fans expressed their love for the four girls.

As one of the most successful pop groups of the 90s, All Saints was formed by sisters, Natalie and Nicole Appleton, Melanie Blatt and Shaznay Lewis.
Featuring the song in question, their debut album went five times platinum and contained other famous number ones, Under the Bridge / Lady Marmalade and Bootie Call.
Never Ever sold over 1.2 million copies in the UK alone and helped the girls on their way to becoming unforgettable household names.
Briefly parting ways for multiple solo careers, the iconic faces came back together to make music again in 2016 and released their first new album in 10 years.
Red Flag crashed onto the charts at number three and its launch party sold out in minutes, proving the girls still had it – and then some.
For the first time in 15 years, the success of Red Flag spurred on the band to take their music on the road and they also joined Take That as special guests during their Wonderland arena tour.
Most recently, All Saints put out their Testament album in 2018 and toured for the last time to date, sharing the new tracks across the UK.
