The Undertaker and Bray Wyatt formed an alliance on Raw XXX (Picture: WWE)
WWE legend The Undertaker made a very rare appearance as the American Badass and joined forces with Bray Wyatt on Raw XXX.
The Hall of Famer, who actually faced the Eater of Wolds back at WrestleMania 31, made his presence felt when LA Knight came out to rant about Wyatt and the various legends turning up for the show’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
Knight hyped up this weekend’s mysterious Pitch Black Match at the Royal Rumble and insisted his opponent was living in the past – just like the legends.
‘It just has me thinking, if any single one of those legends has enough tingle in their loins, why don’t you come on down here,’ he teased before the lights dropped and the sound of the gong filled the arena.
However, the crowd were roaring when the music shifted to his American Badass theme and he returned under a character not seen on Raw for roughly two decades.
Knight offered to give the Dead Man a ‘pass’ as he made his own way up the ramp, but he was cut off by the lights dropping again and Bray Wyatt appearing on the stage.
He forced his rival down the ramp back into the ring, where he ran into Undertaker’s right hand and looked set for an iconic Chokeslam – but there was another twist to the tale.
Wyatt climbed into the ring too and stood across from the Phenom, who shoved Knight into his arms as the former world champion dropped his Rumble opponent with the Sister Abigal.
The crowd were lapping it up, and there was a sweet moment to come as ‘Taker whispered something to him before leaving the ring.
As a segment, this succeeded on every level, hyping up the Pitch Black Match this weekend while giving fans an epic moment with The Undertaker.
The fact Wyatt was able to be the focus by the end was a bonus, and it was fantastic to see Knight hold is own in such esteemed company.
WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
