US approves $735M weapons sales to Israel amid Gaza attack
The American government has approved a potential sale of $735 million in precision-guided weapons to Israel, as the deadly violence between Israel and Gaza continues, and shows no sign of slowing down.
On Tuesday, sources said US lawmakers were not expected to object to the deal despite Israel’s heavy bombardment on Gaza.
President Joe Biden’s decision to approve the Joint Direct Attack Munitions sale is causing a rift amongst some of his fellow Democrats, as the death toll in Gaza soars past 200 and Israel intensifies its assault.
