TRUMP DENOUNCES IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY AS A COUP
Arab News says President Trump denounced the impeachment inquiry threatening his presidency as a “coup.” The Trump administration continues to push back hard against the investigation. Earlier, Mike Pompeo pressed to prevent or delay five former or current State Department staffers from testifying in the investigation. The US President tweeted: “As I learn more and more each day, I am coming to the conclusion that what is taking place is not an impeachment, it is a COUP.” It is “intended to take away the Power of the People, their VOTE, their Freedoms, their Second Amendment, Religion, Military, Border Wall and their God-given rights as a Citizen of the United States of America!” he said. Adding: “The Greatest Witch Hunt in the history of our country!.”

MAN SHOT WITH A LIVE ROUND IN MAJOR ESCALATION OF HONG KONG PROTESTS
CNN reports the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, was met with violent protests erupting across Hong Kong, marking one of the most chaotic days in almost four months of political unrest. Police said an officer “fired a live round” and an 18-year-old man was “injured near his left shoulder at about 4 p.m.” The incident marks a major escalation in violence that could galvanize the protests further. While it is not the first time police have fired shouts during the unrest, it is the first injury from one since the protests began 17 weeks ago. According to the police “, a large group of rioters attacked police officers on a large scale.” Telling reporters: “police officers warned the attacker but he continued to violently attack the police.”

FINLAND COLLEGE ATTACK KILLED 1 AND INJURED 10
RT News reports the Finnish city of Kuopio was subjected to violence on Tuesday after an attacker went on a stabbing spree targeting students. The students were temporarily based at a local shopping mall whilst their campus in under renovations, the mall gave rooms to around 600 students and 50 employees of the college. Police found one dead body and a further eight victims of the attacker were sent to the hospital. Two of those injured are reportedly in a critical condition. The suspected attacker was injured when police used firearms to apprehend the assailant. Police have revealed the attacker to be a student of the college, with no criminal history. And are trying to establish a motive.
