Germany take on Costa Rica in their final group match knowing anything less than a victory will see them crash out at the first hurdle.
All four teams in Group E can still qualify tonight with Spain taking on Japan at the same time. Spain’s progress is in their own hands with a win guaranteeing them top spot – a draw will be enough to book their place in the last 16.
Three points for Hansi Flick’s side is a must, however, and should Spain and Japan draw, they will have to win by two or more goals.
