Nicky has made quite the impression on Emmerdale audiences since rocking up in the eponymous village last year.
The newcomer has proven himself to be an expert at his job, working as nanny up at Home Farm, all the while offering a friendly ear to those who dwell there, providing solutions for any problems they might have.
Nicky really does seem like the perfect gentleman, right?
Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) certainly reckons so, having a serious crush on him, something which she revealed last month, making a move on him.
But is he all too good to be true? Perhaps. Nicky, you see, has been the subject of much discussion online since making his Dales debut, with some viewers believing him to be harbouring a dark secret.
Whether or not this proves to be the case remains to be seen, but we’re taking a closer look at the character, with everything you need to know about him.
Who is Nicky in Emmerdale?
Nicky is the live-in nanny who resides at Home Farm.
He made his on-screen debut in December, after Kim Tate (Claire King) decided to pit Gabby and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) against one another to secure a job working alongside her.

After a series of interviews, Nicky was employed to take care of Gabby and Dawn’s kids. Dawn, however, later decided to drop out of the race, fearful that she’d miss out on being a mum, and therefore Nicky was relieved of his duties as nanny to Lucas and Clemmie.
With Gabby still in the running to impress Kim, however, she made it quite clear that she would still be in need of Nicky’s services to babysit her son Thomas.
Nicky appears to be the loveliest, most charming and kind-hearted individual anyone could meet, but viewers reckon that he’s got ulterior motives in being in the village.

The character doesn’t currently have a surname on the end credits of the serial drama, which usually means that he’s harbouring a dark secret – or is connected to someone within the village.
Some fans believe he’s in cahoots with Caleb Milligan (William Ash), who is on a mission to destroy brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), but this has yet to be confirmed.
Who plays Nicky in Emmerdale?
Nicky is played by actor Lewis Cope.
Lewis joined the cast of the ITV soap last year. Prior to that, he appeared in episodes of Vera, Doctors and Hetty Feather.
