Formula One is back for another season – with the ten teams and 20 drivers set to do battle over the 23-race calendar.
Max Verstappen will be eyeing his third straight world championship with Red Bull, who themselves will be gunning for a second consecutive constructors’ championship having won 17 of the 22 races last season.
Mercedes will be keen to catapult themselves back into title contention after a dire 2022, while Ferrari start another pursuit to win their first title since 2008.
Here is everything you need to know about the F1 2023 season.
When does the F1 season start?
The season will get underway with the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Qualifying at the Bahrain International Circuit will be on Saturday, March 4, with the race itself on Sunday, March 5.
Lights out will be 3pm UK time.

When is pre-season testing?
Three days of pre-season testing will take place in Bahrain between Thursday, February 23 and Saturday, February 25.
Each day will be divided into two sessions, with the morning session lasting from 7am until 11am, and the afternoon session from 12pm until 4.30pm.
The teams can do as much running as they want in the allocated time and they will have access to the five tyre compounds that will be used across the year.

What are the driver line-ups?
Fernando Alonso has swapped Alpine for Aston Martin as he looks to add to the two world championships won in 2005 and 2006.
Alpine has replaced Alonso with Pierre Gasly, who joins compatriot Esteban Ocon in an all French line-up at the French outfit.
Nyck de Vries has filled the void left by Gasly at Alpha Tauri, while 22 year-old Logan Sargeant has made the step up from F2 to replace Nicholas Latifi at Williams.
Oscar Piastri has ousted Daniel Ricciardo at McLaren, with the popular Aussie returning to Red Bull as the third driver, while Nico Hulkenberg is back in the sport with Haas in place of Mick Schumacher.
