Financial Times – Washington warns Israel not to attack Gaza hospitals
The Financial Times leads on the conflict in the Middle East, with officials in Washington warning Israel not to fire on hospitals in Gaza.
It comes after the head of the World Health Organisation warned that Gaza’s largest hospital, al Shifa, was no longer “functioning as a hospital” due to a shortage of supplies.
Israel claims Hamas has a base of operations underneath the hospital, but it has denied striking it.
The front page also reports on Iceland declaring an emergency as Volcanic activity has signalled an eruption soon.
