US Senator Ben Cardin ‘angry’ over Senate sex tape linked to aide
US Senator Ben Cardin expressed his outrage after learning that a former aide allegedly featured in a sex tape recorded within a Senate hearing room.
Cardin, a Maryland Democrat, revealed that the staff member is no longer employed by the Senate, he told reporters: “I was angry, disappointed. It’s a breach of trust. All of the above.”
While no charges have been filed, the incident is under investigation by the US Capitol Police.
The video, shared in a private group for gay men in politics according to The Daily Caller, depicted a congressional aide engaging in sexual activity in room 216 of the Hart Senate Office Building. The room, known for hosting significant hearings, raised concerns about security and privacy breaches.
