Unapologetic Liz Truss stands by her disastrous policies in 3-minute farewell speech
Daily Mirror says Liz Truss has launched a defence of her disastrous economic policies in an unrepentant farewell speech of just over three minutes.
Speaking from Downing Street, Ms Truss celebrated reversing the national insurance increase imposed by Rishi Sunak when chancellor.
“From my time as Prime Minister I’m more convinced than ever that we need to be bold and confront the challenges that we face,” she said.
“As the Roman philosopher Seneca wrote: “It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare. It is because we do not dare that they are difficult.”
