Booster jabs ‘starting this month’ as third dose to be approved ‘within days’
The Metro says health secretary Sajid Javid said he is ‘very confident’ that there will be a booster programme for third vaccine doses ‘starting this month’.
He said the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) is expected to spell out exactly who should get an extra jab, how, and in what order ‘within days’.
The JCVI have spent months studying how boosters should be rolled out – including whether different vaccines can be ‘mixed and matched’ and if they can be administered alongside a flu jab.
