MAN SHOT DEAD IN LONDON: ‘HE SHOT HIMSELF – HE’S F***ING SHOT HIMSELF’
The Daily Mail reports witnesses described how shocked accomplices fled a man in his 20s who was left dying on a London street, after claims he blasted himself with his own shotgun. Police responded to reports of suspicious behaviour in Sydenham Road at 3:45 pm on Sunday and firearms officers quickly arrived after shots were heard. The man died on the scene. And witnesses have claimed the man accidentally shot himself with his own shotgun after hitting a windshield with the weapon. But there are conflicting accounts of what actually happened. One witness, who lives nearby said: “He came to shoot someone else, but he ended up shooting himself. The bullet bounced off a car window. You can see on the car window where the bullet bounced off it. After it happened, the boy he came to shoot stood there and filmed him.”

BOY, 16 CHARGED WITH MURDER OVER EAST LONDON STABBING
The Guardian says a 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder after fatally stabbing an 18-year-old in east London last month. Scotland Yard said the boy was arrested on Saturday and charged with murder on Sunday. And a 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Santino Angelo Dymiter, 18 was found critically injured in Chadd Green, Plaistow on 26 August. He was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem concluded he died as a result of a stab wound.

MAN ARRESTED UNDER TERRORISM ACT AFTER BOMB FOUND ON IRISH BORDER
The Independent says police in Northern Ireland have confirmed a bomb was found near the Irish border on Saturday morning. The IED was discovered in Strabane, Co Tyrone after it was spotted by local residents. People from the highly residential Church View area were ordered to evacuate their homes as Army bomb experts investigated. A man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act. SDLP West Tyrone MLA Daniel McCrossan thanked the residents who first spotted the bomb and the police response. And added: “But those responsible must be flushed out of this community and they should face justice for their attempt to murder and main our friends and neighbours.”
