BONMARCHE: ALMOST 2,900 JOBS AT RISK AS HIGH STREET FIRM COLLAPSES INTO ADMINISTRATION
The Independent says thousands of jobs are at risk after womenswear retailer Bonmarche collapsed into administration following a “sustained period of challenging trading conditions.” The company has 318 stores in the UK and employs 2,887 members of staff across the high street and 200 at its head office. Despite going into administration, the firm is expected to keep trading and there is unlikely to be immediate job losses. “Bonmarche has been a staple on the UK high street for nearly three decades, but the persistent challenges facing retail have taken their toll and led to the administration,” administrator Tony Wright said. “There is every sign that we can continue trading while we market Bonmarche for sale and believe that there will be interest to take on the business,” he added.

I WILL ‘ALWAYS’ PROTECT MY FAMILY, SAYS PRINCE HARRY
BBC News reports Prince Harry has insisted he will “always” protect his family, adding that he “will not be bullied into playing a game that killed my mum.” Speaking in an ITV documentary, Harry said: “ I will always protect my family, and now I have a family to protect. So everything she (Diana) went through, and what happened to her, is incredibly important every single day, and that is not me being paranoid, that is just me not wanting to repeat the past.” In the doc, reporter Tom Bradby joins Harry and Meghan during their tour of southern Africa. The Duchess of Sussex adds her British friends told her not to marry the prince due to media scrutiny.

BEST PALS, 17 BOTH KNIFED TO DEATH AT HOUSE PARTY
The Sun reports on the first pictures of two 17-year-old best friends who died after being stabbed to death at a house party. Dom Ansah and Ben Gillham-Rice were murdered just before midnight in a £400,000 semi-detached home in Milton Keynes. One of the boys died at the scene whilst the second victim passed away in hospital. Another 17-year-old and a 23-year-old were rushed to hospital in a serious but non-life threatening condition after suffering knife injuries. It is believed those involved in Ben and Dom’s deaths are known to those attending the party.
